I really do apologize to all of my Followers, Supporters, and visitors for not posting more on here. However, I would hope that you be patient with me and visit when you can.
I have been living in Madison, WI for little over a year now. I still would prefer to live in Michigan, but we have created a home here.
Since I last wrote, I have found employment, bought a house (condo), and many other fun things.
I came out of my quicksand of depression, let me tell you it was rough. I thought it was never going to end. I didn't even want to live through it anymore. I guess that's how suicidal thoughts start. SCARY! Whoo! But I am so glad that its over.
I started employment in October, I have been working since then at the same place. Its' a drag let me tell you, but I would be far worse off if I did not find this job. I made a friend which is probably one of the best things to happen while in Madison.
I bought a Condo with my Long time Boyfriend; we just celebrated out 7th anniversary! We like it so much! We have had a few kinks, but we are learning to live with them. Even our dog has made new friends.
I have a studio now in my basement because we have the room so why not? Right?! because we have been busy doing new house things, I haven't been able to get down there much, but I have done more work these last three months than I did all last year. I don't feel like I have, but thinking about it, I am done with one, just waiting to frame it. Will post it up after its framed.
I have one in the works, and thinking about entering some exhibitions, just have to get some work done. Oh and by jolly gee willikers! I showed a video of my installation at the Dixon Place in New York as part of the (Dis)abilities show! Wow, was that a blast!
It seems like unless you're spending money, there is nothing to do in Madison. The Parks and what not do not allow dogs at all, so we find ourselves traveling hours just to find a decent place to enjoy nature.
I am now the Vice president of the Midwest Region for the Women's Caucus for Art, Which is splendid! We are meeting up for the Summer board meeting in New Hampshire! I am excited to see all my lady friends and of course help the future of the Organization. I have so many ideas so we'll see what happens with that, but I am stoked because I have never been to New Hampshire.
For now, I am trying to get my butt into gear and pull in information and resources to get my business idea going and implemented. It will be so great for the community, any community for that matter, as long as its utilized.
I know, I know, What is my Business Idea?
I am going to open a small learning center for the community and teach Fine arts, I will hire artists who practice the different kinds of mediums, have studio spaces for rent (teachers get a discount), and then a gallery for the students and teachers to exhibit their works in after the class session is over as well as have guest artists come in. I have gotten really good reviews about it, I am just hoping that it sticks because most of the art places in Madison have been closing these last few years, sadly.
So much to tell!
